30 years of Salzburger Bauernherbst
Anniversary opening in Dorfgastein
The Salzburger Bauernherbst celebrates its 30th anniversary with the nationwide opening in Dorfgastein. Under the motto ‘G'sungen und G'spielt’, a festival full of customs, musical diversity and joie de vivre awaits you on Saturday, 23 August 2025.
The official opening is celebrated with a large parade , during which magnificently decorated floats and traditional costumes light up the Gastein Valley . Visitors can look forward to an extensive program that combines living tradition and genuine hospitality:
- Schnalzer, Schuhplattler and impressive folk dance performances
- Concert by traditional music bands from the region
- Culinary delicacies at farmers' autumn stalls and local innkeepers
- Traditional stalls with handicrafts and regional products
- A varied children's program for younger guests
- Musical entertainment to make the day unforgettable
Another highlight of the weekend: The 40th anniversary of the Dorf:Festwill be celebrated as early as Friday, August 22, 2025- a kick-off full of conviviality and regional delicacies that perfectly kicks off the Bauernherbst.
